  • F1 2013 – Di Resta: Ferrari is the ultimate

Formula One News » F1 2013 – Di Resta: Ferrari is the ultimate

Paul Di Resta has revealed Ferrari is his ultimate drive in Formula due to the Italian side of his family.

Speaking to sky sports news Di Resta said “Ferrari is an ultimate seat that I want to see myself in Formula 1 because of the Italian side of my family,”

“What Ferrari is to Formula 1 is a very special red car when it sits on the grid. But I need to wait and see if the opportunities arise. At the moment it’s about putting yourself in the framework for those drives.”

“After the summer break we had a great run last year. Spa, Monza, Singapore. I’d like to think we can certainly do that this year. The performance of the car throughout this [season] has excelled itself. If it can excel itself a little bit more than it has done previously I think that’ll be a big point at getting us in the right direction.”

“I wasn’t far last year in Singapore, I wasn’t far in Bahrain this year. I’d certainly like to think that hopefully next time we get in that position we can take a few risks and achieve it.

“But until the car gives us the performance that allows us it’s going to be a difficult one to manage – and it depends where our competitors are. But we are even hungrier and to achieve that ultimate feeling.”

Why does Di Resta get so much media coverage? He has never even been on the podium and yet he gets portrayed in the media as some all conquering hero that deserves a Ferrari drive! Is this some British nationalism or something? Mark Webber consistently gets podium results and battles through the field fro last to reach the podium, drives that veteel couldnt even match since he cant win a race if he is less than third on the grid. Yet Webber gets barely a mention and this nobody gets all the coverage, why??? He certainly has done nothing to deserve a top team seat thats for sure. So Keep dreaming.
