F1 2013 – Hulkenberg terminates Sauber contract

Formula One News » F1 2013 – Hulkenberg terminates Sauber contract

Reports are suggesting that Nico Hulkenberg has activated a termination clause in his contract with Sauber after it was rumoured he had not been paid for the month of May.

It is thought that Hulkenberg will remain with Sauber throughout this season although he will be free to join another team at any time.

Sauber are said to be in financial difficulty with team principal Monisha Kaltenborn looking to find a new sponsor or even buyer to secure the teams future.

Asked on Sunday by Sky about the contract rumours, Hulkenberg did not deny his Sauber deal has been terminated.

“Unfortunately I can’t and I won’t talk about contractual details,”

“Clearly I need to take care of my future, Nothing is impossible or excluded.”

Hulkenberg said “I think it’s a difficult situation,”

“She [Monisha Kaltenborn] and the team management are trying to work on a solution. She’s assured me she’s working on that and there’s not much more I can say.”

Whatever happened to all that TelMex money? Was that only for Gutierrez or for the entire team?

That money’s probably on it’s way to Mclaren and in all honesty would you put any money in for Gutierrez? He’s easily the least capable driver on the Grid.
