Kimi Raikkonen and Daniel Ricciardo have both been hit with 2 place grid penalties following a steward’s investigation into the Q2 restart.

A red flag caused by the crash of Felipe Massa brought the red flags out with 1:59 of Q2 remaining. When the session restarted there was a queue of cars at the end of the pit lane led by Esteban Gutierrez however 5 drivers opted to line up next to him rather than behind him.

The drivers in question were Raikkonen, Ricciardo, Jean-Eric Vergne, Sergio Perez and Pastor Maldonado however after a stewards investigation only Raikkonen and Riccairdo have been penalised with both drivers each receiving a 2 grid place penalty.

Raikkonen will now start 11th and Ricciardo will start 12th.
