F1 2013 – Kimi Raikkonen: 2 options for 2014

Formula One News » F1 2013 – Kimi Raikkonen: 2 options for 2014

Kimi Raikkonen has spoken about the 2014 F1 season and revealed he has 2 options available to him – fuelling speculation he is about to leave Lotus and join Red Bull Racing.

Speaking to Autosprint, Raikkonen has revealed how he has not yet made a decision about 2014.

“At the moment I have a contract for next year,” he said. “However, until now there has not been a lot of contact, we’ve just talked a bit of this and that. I’ll take my decision at the appropriate time.”

When asked how many options he has for the 2014 F1 season, Raikkonen replied: “It depends. I would say that I have two, but in F1 you can never know exactly.”

“I haven’t made plans, I never do. If tomorrow I were to realise that I’m not enjoying it, I would leave immediately. But I know that there comes a time in life when you want to do something else, because when you’re in F1 you have to devote almost all the time you have and you do not have much time to rest. Someday I want to stop travelling and do normal things, but for now I’m enjoying the ride.”

Kimi is a Ferrari driver on 2014. Alonso goes to his old team Lotus Renault. If Kimi goes to BR to drive with Seb, others have no change.
Ferrari wants to be a champion again and want to have the best driver for that, as before. Lotus engineer went to Ferrari and after some meetings and looking over the data, said. Take Kimi. If you want to win, take the Fin. Proposal is now on the table.
