F1 Bahrain Grand Prix – Alonso: We were very unlucky

Formula One News » F1 Bahrain Grand Prix – Alonso: We were very unlucky

Fernando Alonso suffered more bad luck at the Bahrain grand prix as his DRS broke and would not close, forcing him to make an extra pit stop, be without the use of DRS for the race and end up finishing the Bahrain grand prix in 8th position.

This is Fernando’s second dose of bad luck after he broke his front wing at the Malaysian grand prix forcing him to retire from the race.

“We were very, unlucky, in four races we’ve had two very unlucky moments.

“But it will come for the others and in that moment we will take our opportunity.”

“It was very difficult. I stopped two times in two laps so was at the back of the group, with no DRS to pass.

“The race became very, very difficult.”
