Formula One News » Korea: Circuit now 90 per cent complete Posted on 02/09/2010
Organisers of the Korean Grand Prix released new images of the Korea International Circuit this week showing the completed race control building and pit complex.
A statement from the Korea Auto Valley Operation (KAVO), the promoter of the event, added that the circuit is now 90 per cent complete.
The news came ahead of confirmation that the ‘Circuit Run 2010’ event, scheduled for this weekend, September 4-5, will take place to mark the 50-day countdown to the country’s inaugural F1 race on October 24.
“Circuit Run 2010 will include a lap of the new circuit by Formula One World Championship leaders Red Bull Racing, with Karun Chandhok at the wheel of the team’s running show car, as well as a variety of car and motorcycle performances, parades and shows. Circuit Run 2010 will serve as a promotion for the forthcoming 2010 Formula One Korean Grand Prix, and will include the ‘M Super Concert’,” KAVO added.
